And then there was Ten.
Week Ten. What can I say about week 10 that can't already be said by simply looking at the Pittsburgh game on Thursday? Not much. But anyhoo...
Here's week 10 in a fancy 3-colored list for your viewing pleasure:
Dave: 36
Thomas: 26
Les: 23
Mike: 21
Louis: 21
Khalid: 19
Francis: 15
Yep. It's nice to be back on top. What a great week. Not only did I finish finals today, I also whupped all your arses. Yep. Thank the 11 point performance from Crosby and Gonchar. Or maybe the brilliant move in sticking Patrick Elias in. Or maybe my faith in Dwayne Roloson. I dunno, there's so many ways that I'm just unbelievably brilliant this week, why don't we just say that if God does indeed exist, he's very impressed by my Fantasy Hockey acumen. Moving on, the second biggest news of the week is the monster comeback Thomas is slowly making after weeks of mediocrity. With Joe Thornton slowly beginning to look like Joe Thornton again, "poop" is beginning to pick up steam. Les had an excellent week on the back of Jerome Iginla, who was a Godsend to a team infested by swedish twins. Mike and Louis tied for fourth, with both showing decent performances. Any other week they could have been second or third. Khalid continues to suffer at the bottom of the league, but I'm sure as soon as he updates his lineups, he'll dominate once again. Francis was essentially the same story as last week, so I'll just cut and paste what I said last week: "Francis saw a little bit of a dropoff... Francis strangely thought that Kozlov should sit out for a week."
And here's the updated stats overall in the league:
1. Edmonton Eagles (Dave): 217
2. 2pac (Louis): 210
3. The Fobs (Mike): 198
4. FOS (Francis): 196
5. poop (Thomas): 182
6. The Terrorists (Khalid): 180
7. Chronic (Les): 169
Gettin' intense, boys. Gettin' intense.
Transactions:
Francis traded Evgeni Malkin to Les for 1 transaction, which he promptly unloaded for Martin Straka.
Louis dropped Joffrey Lupul and added Saku Koivu.
Waivers for week 11:
Mike
Les
Khalid
Thomas
Francis
Louis
Dave
